Keeper Of The Crows

No one really knew what the keeper of crows real name was, for it remained a mystery. But for the people who actually knew the truth of the Crowfather, they were never heard of again. This is where our story begins. In the small town of Harrodsburg, Pennsylvania, where the sightings of the Crowfather is the strongest. Although people think it is just an insignificant urban legend, but two friends, Jamie and Harvey thought otherwise. most people called them ridiculous but they ignored there comments and continued there search for this mysterious man. So naïve; the bad thing is that they do not know what they have gotten themselves into.

This is where our story begins. “this is the last place I saw him Harv.” Jamie says as she clears the leaves and brush away from the door. Harvey laughed sarcastically as he stands behind her “sure you seen him. and not only that, but if I actually believed you, maybe I would have actually brought the camera.” Jamie smirked as she reaches into her backpack. “luckily, I brought my own.” Harvey had a slight look of anger and disgust. “heh…wipe that look off your face, harv. were here.” they both arrive in the abandoned lab  just outside of town. It was looming and eerie, and it cast a shadow that was darker than night itself. “now, we have to find the bell…” Harvey said. Harvey and Jamie have decided to split up and search for the bell to call the crowfather. After rummaging around in rubble, metal and debris, jamie let out an excited squeal and shouted for harvey to come here. she held a moderately large bell, with a bunch of little symbols on it. she was so tempted to ring it that Harvey had to take it from her. they were planning on ringing it in a few seconds, they’re just taking extra precautions. they don’t know they wont escape…t͓̽h͓̽e͓̽y͓̽ d͓̽o͓̽n͓̽t͓̽ k͓̽n͓̽o͓̽w͓̽ w͓̽h͓̽a͓̽t͓̽ t͓̽h͓̽e͓̽y͓̽’r͓̽e͓̽ g͓̽e͓̽t͓̽t͓̽i͓̽n͓̽g͓̽ t͓̽h͓̽e͓̽m͓̽s͓̽e͓̽l͓̽v͓̽e͓̽s͓̽ i͓̽n͓̽t͓̽o͓̽. . .

Jamie let out a squeal of delight and screamed Harveys name in joy “Harvey! I found it!” Harvey’s bold, footsteps could be heard as he came, bellowing down the hallway like a stallion. He stopped before Jamie,  trying his best to catch his breath.  He bent over at the knees and put a hand to his chest.  “found what J? ” “The bell,  silly! ” he held up the bronze,  bell towards his face.  Harvey’s eyes widened “oh my gosh… We need to find the right place to ring it…” she went to shake it right then and there  but,  quickly enough, Harvey grasped her wrist. “we don’t wanna summon the bird here,  do we?” Jamie agreed and gave the bell to Harvey. “we don’t wanna summon him today. Let’s do it on Saturday,  so we can prove our point to everyone. ”

Jamie had an innocent,  happy look on her face. “OK!  Who’s gonna keep the bell…? ” she eyes the dented bell for a moment. She gazed upon the dull reflection it had,  sending a shiver down her spine. Harvey insisted that he keep it,  but Jamie wanted it as well. Harvey,  whilst he was arguing his case, ran a finger on the rim of the bell,  until he ran it across a serrated edge and prick his finger. He let out a small yelp and accidentally dropped the bell.  The bell rang out a deep,  eerie,  loud ringing noise. Both,  Harvey and Jamie had worried looks on their faces. “see what you did,  dumb a*s?!  The bell is probably broken! ” Harvey looked tense. “we should be more worried that the bell rang…” Jamie quickly picked up the bell,  but Harvey snatched it from her. “I’m taking it; I don’t trust you with it especially with that little brother of yours that can’t keep his hands off of anything. ” Jamie got mad,  then realized he had a point. “ya know,  maybe it is safer with you…” Harvey chuckled a little bit and insisted that he walk her home that night. “thank you Harvey…” “No problem… ” they both looked into each other’s eyes for a moment before Harvey realized he was past curfew. “oh no.  I-I gotta head home Jamie. I’ll see you later… ” Harvey sprinted home with the Bell in his backpack, running as fast as a few cars that have past him on this dreary night.

“Harvey!  Where in God’s name have you been?! I was worried sick about you!” Harvey had an uneasy look on his face as he hid his book bag behind him.  “u-uh… I was just out, mom… ” “are you hurt? ” Harvey checked himself over. “No mom… ” Harvey’s mom,  Janine had an anxious look on her face. “My lord,  what am I gonna do with you child. You know what?  J-just go to bed… ” Harvey frowned.  “OK….. ” he trodded to his bedroom,  gently placing the bell on his dresser. He quickly wrapped himself under the blankets and swaddled himself in them, dozing into a deep sleep.

Later that night he had some peculiar dreams. He was in a forest,  with a bunch of odd slash marks on the trees. He called out into the darkness,  and in return,  he heard faint whispers. He was looking around for the source of the whispers till he turned around and saw a man with a white plague doctor mask. He was wearing a bloodied,  black jacket and had odd, grotesque limbs coming from his back. He blinked and suddenly he was face to face with the creature. It wreaked of pestilence and bleach as they stood facing eachother.  Suddenly, after what seemed like forever, the creatures beak opened up and a thick,  black liquid dripped down the corners of his eyes and mouth. The creature slouched and suddenly screamed a high-pitched scream in his face,  then he awoke from his nightmare, sweating viciously. He looked from side to side, still seeing the bell on his dresser, then plopped back down on his pillow. He closes his eyes for a moment,  then opens them,  only to see the creature for a split second. He jumped,  then robbed his eyes. “man,  I must be seeing things… ” his head throbbed as he dozed back off, no longer having the dream.

Tomorrow is another day.

Tomorrow night, Jamie and Harvey met once more at the abandoned Facility. “Harvey,  what’s wrong? You look paranoid… ” Harvey was sweating as he wiped his eyes. “I don’t know… I’ve been seeing some weird stuff… ” Jamie tried her best to comfort him. She put a hand on his chest. “hey. You’re gonna be fine, okay? No one’s gonna hurt you… ” Harvey seemed to have called down a little.  “heh… You’re right aren’t you… You’re always right… ” Jamie then explanated “okay. Cmon we need to find more clues… We need to split up again. ” Harvey’s heart dropped as he got extremely scared,  then he redeemed himself.  “okay okay…. What’re we looking for Jamie… ” “hm… Feathers…. He drops those sometimes… ” Harvey stood up. “Black feathers? ” “yep. I’ll meet ya here in an hour. ” Harvey descended into the darkness as he went looking for the feathers.  And as for Jamie, she went down a separate hall. Jamie was looking around the facility, looking from room to room. She suddenly heard screaming from across the facility. Whispers engulfed her ears as she ran towards it. When she got there,  she realized she was too late. There lay a dead Harvey,  half of his arm missing and head,  detached from his mangled body. Jamie screamed as she look for a place to hide. She ran to the west wing of the facility and stood there,  evaluating the area. Then it hit her. She could feel the creatures presence.  His soulless eye sockets, burning into her back and boiling her blood. She slowly turned around and just watched it. It was wearing a dark black jacket, soaked in Harvey’s blood.  It had damp,  bloody,  black jeans as well as a pure,  white plague Doctor mask, with its break, slightly open, having blood and a black liquid dripping from its eye sockets and mouth. It had terrifyingly large, grotesque limbs, sprouting from his shoulder blades. The both of them had the heads of scythes on the ends of them. Mangled, white, bone scythes.  And within a split second, it’s blade was through her stomach and out her back. It lifted her in the air and whispered in her ear, “tainted, broken, little toys. “. Within a blink of an eye, it’s beak opened and engulfed her head, detaching it from her body.  He then pushed the body off of the scythe and they folded into his back.

Who knows.  Maybe,  just maybe,  you may be talking to him right now.  But they have made the mistake of releasing this beast in the world, and there is no stopping him. He will be awaiting his next victim, lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce. . .but in the end. . .are.t we all just tainted, broken, little toys. . .?

Might want to work harder on the next story you write to make it scary. You have alot of grammar mistakes,a few repeating paragraphs, and an overall funny story because of it.

I can’t read it. Too many grammar issues. Ruined what might have been an excellent story.
