When I was just a little boy I was scared of the dark beyond imagination, I would see things in the dark that weren't from various items or shadows of normal household things. These things I saw were my mind tricking me into believing there is something there, it was so immense that sometimes they would get very realistic. At times I would not be able to fall asleep because my mother forgot to turn on the nightlight and I would hide under my blanket for the whole night. I eventually conquered my fear of the dark which made me come to love scary stories about darkness and just horror in general, I now write my own stories and some are based off my past fears whilst others are completely from my imagination.
