IARC Rating Guideline

This following rating has been applied to our community by IARC (International Age Rating Coalition). Your submitted contents (stories or medias) must follow this rating.

IARC Rating

From left to right, the detailed explanations are:

  • Classificação Indicativa (ClassInd) – Brazil: Rated 12+
    Low impact content. It may contain swearing, sexual dialogs or references, wounds, bleeding, and tobacco/alcohol consumption.
  • ESRB – Americas: Teen
    Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.
  • PEGI – Europe & Middle East: PEGI 12
    Games or apps that show violence of a slightly more graphic nature towards fantasy characters, or non-graphic violence towards human-looking characters or animals would fall in this age category, as well as n*dity of a slightly more graphic nature and simulated gambling. Any bad language in this category must be mild and fall short of sexual expletives.
  • Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK) – Germany: Ages 12 and above
    Apps in this category can have an impairing effect on younger children through the inclusion of scary elements, shock effects, some explicit language, sexual contents or occasional violent imageries. Games in this category can feature much more of a competitive edge and hectic gameplay. Please keep in mind that in social networks or user-generated content might generally contribute to the youth protection relevance.
  • IARC Generic: Rated for 12+
    Violence involving fantasy characters and/or non-graphic violence involving human-looking characters or animals is permitted. Non-graphic n*dity, mild language and simulated gambling are also permitted, but sexual expletives are not.
  • Google Play Rating – Applies in South Korea: Rated 12+
    May not be suitable for children under age 12.

Content Guidelines

All authors are expected to follow our IARC rating as we stated above. However, we want to add more details about what you can post and what you cannot post. In short, any themes or scenes that is only targeted to mature audience are prohibited. This example (but not limited) below is a list of themes or scenes that is not suitable for our community:

  • Content that is mainly or contains scene that is focused on sexual theme.
    If your content somehow contains anything focused in sexual theme such as describing the activity, telling the details, or anything that is exists solely for the purpose of sexual stimulation in parts or whole content, it will be rejected or removed.
  • Self-harm, suicide, and eating disorders scenes or themes.
    Central theme of self-harm in detailed form including instruction, diary or journal, step by step explanation, or anything that promoting self-harm will be rejected or removed.
  • Intense or graphic depiction of violence and gore.
    Content that is contains and exists only for telling intense violence and gore will be rejected or removed.
  • Glorification and/or glamorization of offending actions, bad behaviours, twisted morals, and/or criminal activities.
    If the protagonist character(s) are involved in above actions, then it will not be suitable for our audience. Make a clear moral compass distinction between protagonist and antagonist. Stories with the central theme toward these actions will be rejected or removed.

Anything referencing any of the above that is not detailed, intense, or graphic are considered safe. You can create a good story even without any mature contents. We will tell you to revise your story if we find anything that is not suitable to our Content Guidelines.

We will periodically scan authors submission for violation of above criteria manually and automatically. Manual scanning are done by Moderators and automatic scanning are done by system algorithm. Contents that are found using any materials not fitting to this IARC Rating system will be rejected or notified for revision.

The scanning, however, may not a hundred percent perfect filtering out contents due to the nature of the community itself that is very dynamic and user generated. So we will need your help if you find any contents that is not suitable, please report to us using any contact and method provided.
