BloodyMoon

It was a warm and sunny day. The sun brought life, warmth, and color in the normal, blue house. I was leaving to see my family in California.

“Do you have to go?” Said Xavier, My only son. I smiled so softly and picked up the 4 year old off his feet.

“Only a few days. I’ll bring you back something when I come back, Deal?”

“Deal!” replied Xavier.

As I was finished packing up, my wife Claudia was sadden; however, she was also happy that I was seeing my family in such a long time.

“You sure you guys don’t want to go? There’s still time to buy more-”

I was interrupted by the sound of my wife’s crying. I quickly walked over to her and hugged her close.

“I’ll just miss you that’s all hon.” Claudia said, as she whipped her tears and smiled at me.

“I’ll miss you too Claudia.”

We kissed and then Claudia, Xavier, and I hopped in the car and drive to the Airport. Once at the Airport, Claudia and Xavier said their goodbyes to me and off they went back home; not knowing that’ll be the last time they see me…

After purchasing the ticket, I sat down waiting to board the plain. After a while, a hooded man walked pass me, dropping what looked like a tiny notebook. I picked it up and looked threw it and noticed its in a different language. I raised my head, wanting to tell the man that he dropped the book but the man had… Vanished. My plane was called threw the PA.

“Now boarding flight 10498 repeat boarding flight 10498. Please have your ticket ready before boarding.” Said the female employee behind the desk, greeting and farewelling everyone that walks through the door

In no time I found myself in my seat. Not to far from the front or from the back. A man that looked around his early 20’s, sat next to me. He looked at me and smiles sticking out his hand.

“Hello, I’m Isaac.” I shook his hand.

“I’m Nick.”

We talked for a few hours and then we noticed outside the window was a bout to be sunset.

“You know, Tonight’s a bloody moon. It’s said to be the darkest this year.”

“oh really?” I tried acting interested, but I’m guessing he caught on cause he stopped talking about it afterwards. Not even 10 seconds later, the plane shooked. Everyone was shocked and scared. We all heard a noise.

Ding Ding Ding “Uh Lady’s and gentlemen this is your pilot speaking, we seem to be having some turbulence, please fasin your seat belts and remain seated. Thank you.” Ding ding ding.

I already had my seatbelt on and so did Isaac, so we continued doing our own things. I began to dust off my red, fading into black towards the bottom, trench coat and fixing my grey shirt and black vest. I looked out the window and saw the trees. My ears started to ring, but it wasn’t to bothering so I decided to listen to some music. 5 minutes later the turbulence was so bad that it felt as if we were hit by something. By this time my head phones were off and I was scared.

Ding Ding Ding “Lady’s and gentlemen, we seem to have hit a bit of-”

The pilot was interrupted by the crashing and booming of one of the engines exploding. Everyone screamed and panicked and started to apply their oxygen air bag mask to their face. I could hear the pilots scream from the cot pit.

“Mayday! Mayday! This is flight 10498 we have lost engine number 2 repeat we have lost engine number 2!”

As we plummeted to the ground, the ringing in my years grew worst then before I knew It, we hit the ground. Hard.

When I woke up I had this feeling in my right eye. When I try to feel it, instead of my eye I was feeling a piece of metal from the plane. I slowly pulled it out and healed my wound. I looked next to me seeing that Isaac was gone. In fact, his whole seat was gone. I was unable to unable to unbuckle myself. I smelled a familiar sent. A chill ran up my spine when I realized the smell, Gasoline. Before I had time to think, I heard the flames coming my way. I desperately tired to free myself and without success, I sat there. Waiting to die when I heard the ringing in my head again. I felt a cold, boney hand on my shoulder. When I tried to see who it was, they were gone and so was my seat belt. I got out of the plane and ran into the forest. I turned back to see the plane exploded. The plane was beyond saving and so were the rest of the passengers.

I walked around and saw a man holding a knife. It was nighttime and the Bloody moon was out. The man came closer and I told him to stay back. The man came close and we started to wrestle. The man attempted to reach his knife and succeeded. He tried to kill me so I had to kill him first. There was a voice that said “Do it.”

My eyes went from Brown to Grey. All I remember is the sound of the knife piercing through the man. In horror I came to the conclusion that this wasn’t a stranger, it was Isaac.

“Bloody…Moon…”

Isaac managed to mutter out as the light in his eyes faded. I pulled out the knife and whipped it clean and I felt the cold, boney hand on my shoulder again. This time I saw him. A tall man in a black suit with white skin and no hair.. or face.

Though he did not speak, I still understood that he wanted me to follow him. I soon was renamed, to remember my first kill, BloodyMoon..

The next day…

You have the beginning of a good story however your grammar and punctuation really made it difficult to read.

    • Zachary Garcia

It was my first story and I really didn’t see my errors. Thanks for your feed back!

  • Daniel Di Benedetto

Yeah, I would just say work a lot on grammar and punctuation. There’s lots of errors throughout.
